Special Interest: Skin Cancer Medicine
Dr Devan Balachandran came to skin cancer medicine with four years of orthopaedic surgical experience behind him — and that background shows in everything he does. But what drives Devan isn't just technical precision; it's the opportunity to genuinely make a difference for each person who sits across from him.
Over three years of dedicated skin cancer practice — much of it under the direct supervision of Dr Cassidy — Devan has built a reputation for being the kind of doctor who takes his time, explains his thinking, and treats every patient as an individual, not just a lesion on a list. He performs a wide range of procedures including excisions and local flaps, with formal graft training planned for mid-2026 to further expand what he can offer in-house.
Dr Haridevan works Monday – Friday.
Devan uses clinical photography to walk you through exactly what he's seeing — why something needs to come off, why it's safe to monitor, or why a biopsy is the right call. He'd rather have an honest five-minute conversation than leave you walking out the door with unanswered questions.
And if something is beyond what he can offer, he'll tell you straight and make sure you land with the right person. That's just who he is.
Devan is currently completing his Advanced Dermoscopy course with the Skin Cancer College Australasia, attending an Advanced Surgical Workshop in June 2026, and working toward full accreditation as a skin cancer doctor by end of 2027.
